Up, up and away! The up-and-over glazed unit was lifted into place at Hills Avenue on Monday this week.
NRAP would like to thank RIBA East for hosting a well-attended talk and tour by Richard Owers at EF as part of the Great British Buildings season.
The RIBA have invited NRAP Architects to conduct a tour of EF Language School at 6pm on Thursday 8th October, as part of their “GREAT BRITSH BUILDINGS” season. Richard will give a short talk before leading a walking tour of the building. The project was the 2015 winner of an Historic England Conservation Award, an RIBA Regional Award and a Cambridge Design and Construction Award.
The RIBA Judges described the project as ”a carefully considered scheme that had tremendous thought and consideration to the existing structure and how a new modern piece of architecture can sit aside and also influence the way in which an older building would adapt to fit its new requirements”.

The ground floor cladding is almost complete and decorations are well under way in Sedley Taylor Road.
We have produced an interior model of a simple garden room at Storeys Way, Cambridge.
The scaffolding has been struck, revealing the earthy roman brickwork. The under-floor heating is going in and the pizza oven has been installed.
The play of light against walls animates the space at our recently completed small extension in Newnham. Andrew Adams of Adams and Newman have delivered a very well finished project yet again !
